Travel Information                                                       *Busan (=Pusan: old name)

How to get to Venue
    1. Taxi
         -  45~55 minutes from Gimhae International Airport in Busan (about 16,000 KRW)
         -  35 minutes from Busan Station or Ferry Terminal ( about 9,000 KRW)
    2.  Airport  Limousine Bus
         -  about 1 hour from Gimhae International Airport in Busan ( 4,500 KRW)
    3.  Bus (700 KRW or 1,400 KRW)
         -  In Gimhae International Airport,  No. 307 or  2002
         -  In Busan Station or Ferry Terminal, No 39, 40, 139, 140, 239, 240, 302, or 2001
   4. Subway  (700 KRW)
          -  From Busan International Ferry Terminal
                Jungangdong -> Seomyeon -> Haeundae  (about 43 minutes)
          -  From Busan Station
                 Busan Station -> Seomyeon -> Haeundae  (about 42 minutes)
                (takes 5~7 minutes by walk from Haeundae station to Venue)
     * The rush hour is usually 7:00~10:00 A.M and 5:00-9:00 P.M from Monday to Friday.
       On Saturdays, rush hour is 12:00 am ~ 9:00 pm
 

How to get to Busan

IMPORTANT:

* International air fare from most of the countries to Korea would be same whether you arrive at
Incheon International Airport (Seoul) or Gimhae Airport in Busan. If you make a reservation only to
Incheon International airport (Seoul), you have to pay additional fare for the domestic flight to
Gimhae Airport in Busan.

* For domestic travel, it is strongly advised to use air flight rather than express bus or train.
Since Taegu Summer Universiad has been scheduled for the same period with Advanced Network Conference,
it would be extremely difficult to get a ticket for express bus or train without  reservation at least one week in advance.

Therefore we provide information about air travel only.

There are three ways to get to Busan by air.

1. International flight to Gimhae Airport (in Busan)

2. International flight to Incheon International Airport (Seoul) and
    transfer to domestic flight to Gimhae Airport (in Busan)

3. International flight to Incheon International Airport (Seoul), transfer by bus to
  Gimpo Domestic Airport (in Seoul) and domestic flight to Gimhae Airport (in Busan).

2. Transfer from International to Domestic flight at Incheon International Airport

Regular Domestic Flights: Incheon International Airport ⇔ Gimhae Airport (in Busan)

No other domestic flights are currently scheduled for Incheon International Airport. For more information, please call Korean Air(KAL:82-32-742-5175) or Asiana Airlines(OZ:82-32-744-2626).

3. Transfer to Domestic flight at Gimpo Airport

  Domestic Flights: Gimpo Airport (in Seoul) ⇔ Gimhae Airport (in Busan)

There are flights every 30 minutes during the above scheduled time.

For those passengers using domestic flights at Gimpo Airport

Transportation by bus: Incheon International Airport ⇔ Gimpo Airport (in Seoul)

It takes about 35 min. to get to Gimpo Airport from Incheon International Airport by bus.  You can take the bus at the bus stop number 4A, 3B, 10B, or 11A depending on where your exit is. The bus comes every 5 to 10 minutes and the fare is 6,000 KRW (Only Korean currency is accepted.).

  Busan (Old name Pusan),
  Gimpo (Old name Kimpo),
  Gimhae (Old name Kimhae)

Incheon International Airport replaced Seoul's congested Gimpo Airport as the new gateway for international flights to South Korea. Gimpo Airport now serves domestic flights only.  However, Korean Air and Asiana Airlines operate some domestic flights from Incheon International Airport to Busan and Jeju Island.
