Visa Free Facility

15 countries and territories are eligible for a “Visa Free” facility. Those holding valid passports from the following countries will be granted a non-extendable 30-day Visa-Free Short Visit Permit upon arrival at an Indonesian international gateway without charge.  No visa is required for these countries and territories :

  • Brunei Darussalam
  • Cambodia
  • Chile
  • Ecuador
  • Hong Kong SAR
  • Lao PDR
  • Macau SAR
  • Malaysia

  • Myanmar

Entry Requirements For Visa-Free Short Visits

  • Passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 (six) months as from the date of entry into Indonesia.
  • Onward or return tickets are compulsory.
  • No compulsory vaccinations.
  • Visitors on Visa-Free Short Visits must be enter and exit from certain airports and seaports in Indonesia.  Soekarno-Hatta  International Airport  (in Jakarta) and Husein Sastranegara International Airport (in Bandung) are included.

Visa on Arrival to Indonesia

In accordance with the Regulation of Minister of Law and Human Right of the Republic of Indonesia Number: M.HH-01.GR.01.06, on January 12, 2010, citizen from 63 countries and 1 region are eligible for obtaining Visa on Arrival (VOA). 

This visa can be obtained directly when you are landed at the certain airports and seaport in Indonesia regardless of the purpose of your visits (Business, Tourist, Social). The Visa on Arrival is not a work visa nor a visitation visa. Therefore, it can not be converted to obtain other immigration permits. The maximum stays permitted for the visa on arrival is 30 days. If you plan to stay longer than 30 days, you need to mention your intention to stay longer.  Visa on Arrival can be extended for another 30 days.

The general requirements for visa on arrival are: 

  • The applicant’s passport must be valid for at least 6 (six) months from the date of entry. 
  • Round-trip airplane ticket.

  • Visa for stay up to 30 (thirty) days = US$ 25,- 
  • Extention of stay for up to 30 (thirty) days = US$ 25,-

Soekarno-Hatta  International Airport  (in the Special Region of the Capital City of Jakarta) and Husein Sastranegara International Airport (in Bandung, West Java) are facilitating Visa on Arrival.

Visa on Arrival counter is available at Terminal 2 Soekarno-Hatta International Airportwith the sign "VOA".In Husein Sastranegara International Airport the visa on arrival counter is available at the arrival hall before the immigration checkpoint. You can pay the fee using USD or in IDR.

Visitors of others nationalities that are not granted with either visa on arrival or visa free facilities from Indonesia government may apply for visas at Indonesian embassies abroad.
