ChairsEric Yen [Eric.Yen AT twgrid.org]
Objectives

Asia Pacific Grid Policy Management Authority (APGridPMA) together with the EUGridPMA, and the Americas PMA (TAGPMA) constitute the Interoperable Global Trust Federation (IGTF) to establish common policies and guidelines that help establish interoperable, global trust relations between providers of e-Infrastructures and cyber-infrastructures, identity providers, and other qualified relying parties. APGridPMA is holding at least two face-to-face meeting annually to enforce the regional trust framework by peer-reviews of regional IGTF certificate authorities, discuss or review of the IGTF profiles and practices etc.

Benefits to APAN Community

IGTF has been supporting trust framework to worldwide distributed IT infrastructures for research since 2004, providing single integrated trust fabric to over 100,000 subscribers by around 80 authorities all over the world. APAN members could take advantage of the IGTF to integrate the networking infrastructure and the national identity management framework with the regional and global distributed computing infrastructure for both large and long-tail sciences.
