Overview

The NREN Leaders Forum, inaugurated at APAN56 in Colombo, brought together C-level executives from National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) across Asia-Pacific. This closed, high-level event aimed to strengthen collaboration, tackle shared challenges, and craft a vision for sustainable digital infrastructure to support research and education.

About the Forum

Convened by Prof. Roshan Ragel, CEO of LEARN, the forum offers a recurring platform for REN leaders to engage in high-level dialogue during APAN meetings. It supports strategic vision, policy development, technology leadership, and cross-border cooperation.

  • Facilitate discussions on the challenges and opportunities that the RENs are facing.
  • Share insights on emerging technologies and relevant trends with the REN community.
  • Foster collaboration and partnerships among RENs.
