In addition to the Board of Directors and the Secretariat, several other entities carry out an important part of the activities of APAN. They include the committees, working groups, and task forces.

Commitees
APAN Committees are formed by the APAN board to carry out key activities. The chairs of the committees are appointed by the board. Membership of committees is largely voluntary. More details about the current committees can be found on the Committees page.

Working Groups
Working Groups are the foundation of APAN activities. A Working Group is a a collection of individuals sharing a common interest. More details about the current working groups can be found on the Working Groups page.

Task Forces
Task Forces are established in APAN to achieve a specific goal, and usually operate for a short duration. More details about the current task forces can be found on the Task Forces page.

Special Interest Group (SIG)
SIGs are formed to create an open forum where experts from its community exchange information, knowledge, ideas and best practices about specific technical or other areas of business relevant to the research and education networking community.
