The Special Interest Group on Network Engineering, known as SIG-NetEng, To provide a platform for NRENs to share with the rest of the community on plans and issues facing the NREN network engineers. This would also cover the coordination among NREN engineers to build an effective, resilient, high speed network in the Asia Pacific region. The group shares information that enables coordination in the operation of the international network across the asia-pacific, coordination of management of the international network in the region, coordination of network POC and plans for future network deployment. The SIG group has been in existence since the birth of APAN. It is a critical group that looks after the network infrastructure collaboratively.
