The primary objective of SIG-SEE is to develop and disseminate a strategic and comprehensive framework for sustained engagement with the science, research, and education communities. This framework will serve as a blueprint for APAN member organizations, guiding their efforts to: – Understand user requirements: Gather and analyze the needs of researchers and educators, including their data movement patterns, computational requirements, and collaborative models. – Analyze scientific workflows: Deconstruct the end-to-end processes of scientific research—from data acquisition to analysis and publication—to identify where network services can add the most value. – Plan and coordinate activities: Develop a engagement framework and a shared roadmap for network activities that is directly informed by the needs of scientific and educational users. This includes collaborative planning for capacity upgrades, new service development, and outreach programs. – Promote best practices: Share knowledge, tools, and successful engagement models among APAN members to accelerate progress and avoid redundant efforts. – Foster collaboration among participants: Share knowledge and resources, thereby avoiding redundant efforts and accelerating progress. Through these activities, SIG-SEE will enable our community to proactively support the scientific and educational endeavors that are critical to the Asia- Pacific region and beyond.
