Those who are interested in organizing or presenting in APAN Medical sessions, please read the following carefully

1. All Medical Working Group (MWG) sessions at APAN are done virtually. It is not a face-to-face meeting.
2. The following presentation types are not accepted:
___On-site demonstration, On-site hands-on training as such
3. Please organize and apply for a 90-min session as much as possible.
4. The session organizer is responsible for:
___a) deciding the topic
___b) assigning the Chair (Co-Chair(s), and engineer(s) if any)
___c) finding (at least 3) speakers who give presentations on the topic
___d) finding own audience and distributing the meeting information to them
5. When the proposal is accepted, there will be a few MWG meetings, and your participation is required.
6. We may post your session on the Internet. Sessions will be streamed on YouTube and made available for later viewing.

 

For the people who want to propose single/stand-alone presentations such as “Lightning (5 min),” “Standard (10 min)” and “Long (20 min)”:

1. You will present in “Other Medical Topics” session.
2. A time slot for your presentation is assigned by MWG secretariat.
3. The proposal might be rejected for various reasons.

The MWG’s Call for Proposals will be opened at a slightly different time and duration than the APAN.

The Medical WG was established in 2005 and has held various medical sessions at APAN, such as webinars, case conferences and live demonstrations since then. In addition, onsite training programs for hospital engineers have been organized during APAN meetings. We have provided the tips and techniques of venue setup and troubleshooting for telemedicine conferences to doctors and engineers in Asia and beyond.APAN is the international partnership of the National Research and Education Networks across the region and have provided high-speed network connectivity. We have taken advantage of this wonderful network to implement high-quality medical education programs.Please visit us and enjoy our activities!
