Dr. Buseung Cho is currently a principal researcher and the Director of the KREONET Center at Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI), responsible for KREONET, national research and science network of Korea. He received the Ph.D. degree from Sungkyunkwan University. He joined KISTI in 2005. Since 2005 he has worked for KREONET Infrastructure and its advancement, development of advanced networking technology and international engagement/relationship. He was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Data and High Performance Computing Science at University of Science and Technology (UST) from 2018. He has been an Associate Professor at UST since 2020. Furthermore, he has been a member of the GNA-G (Global Network Advancement Group) Leadership Team since 2019 and a co-chair of the GNA-G AutoGOLE/SENSE WG. He is currently the chair of APAN-KR. He was involved in various activities in the APAN such as hosting APAN36 and APAN47 (with APRICOT2019) meeting, and very active in APAN Event/Program committee, APAN Backbone Committee, and APAN Network Engineering Workshop etc. He has served as the chair of P4 Application WG under SDN/NFV Forum, Korea since 2019. His current research interest is on high performance networking, Software-Defined Network and P4 network programmability, network automation etc.

DY Kim has served APAN since its foundation in 1997, taking roles in various committees including the Backbone Committee and as Chair for 2013-2015. Especially, he had personal enthusiasm for putting performing arts on the Internet, i.e., Cyber-Performance, as a Cultural WG project, of which showcase events were staged at almost every APAN meeting for quite a number of years. Since his retirement as professor of CNU, Corea, in 2015, he now spends his peaceful time in a countryside, swimming, writing, baking, and playing a short bamboo flute. He was inducted to the Internet Hall of Fame in 2021.

Gerrit Willem Bahlman was the previous Chair of the Asia Pacific Advanced Network and currently advisor to APAN. He was the Deputy Chair of the Board of Governors of the Trans-Eurasia Information Network Cooperation Centre ( TEIN*CC) and a member of the Steering Committee.
Gerrit has served as a Chief Executive Officer and Chief Information Officer in several different organisations and countries. He was the interim CEO of REANNZ in 2018/19, and was the Director of Information Technology at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in Hong Kong for 8 years and the Chief Information Officer at Massey University in New Zealand for 20 years.
He has been the Director and Board member of the Joint Universities Computer Centre ( JUCC ) in Hong Kong and a JUCC Steering Committee Member. He is the inaugural Director of the JUCC Leadership Institute which is residential event with faculty and members from Hong Kong, China, Australia, the United States and New Zealand.

Shinji Shimojo received the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Osaka University in 1983 and 1986, respectively. He was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Information and Computer Sciences, Faculty of Engineering Science at Osaka University from 1986, and an Associate Professor with Computation Center from 1991 to 1998. During this period, he also worked for a year as a Visiting Researcher at the University of California, Irvine. He has been a Professor with the Cybermedia Center (then the Computation Center) at Osaka University since 1998, and from 2005 to 2008 had been the director of the Center. He was an executive researcher and a director of Network Testbed Research and Development Promotion Center at National Institute of Information and Communications Technology from 2008 to 2011. He is currently a director of Cybermedia Center. His current research work is focusing on a wide variety of multimedia applications, peer-to-peer communication networks, ubiquitous network systems,and IoT systems. He is a founding member of PRAGMA and CENTRA. He was awarded the Osaka Science Prize in 2005. He was awarded by Minister of Internal affair on 2017. He is a member of IEEE, and IEICE and IPSJ fellow.

Eric Yen is a research scientist at Academia Sinica Grid Computing Centre (ASGC) in Taiwan. Eric Yen has been actively involved in APAN activities for more than 15 years ranging from Application area, Technology area and APAN meeting organization in addition to regional network collaborations. He initiated the Disaster Mitigation Working Group together with Dr. Denis F. Villorente of ASTI Philippines from the BOF stage at APAN41 in 2016. Mr. Yen is also the co-chairman of APAN Cloud Working Group aiming to promote regional collaborations through Cloud Working Group Meetings at every APAN meeting since APAN38. Eric Yen has been acting as the chairperson of APGridPMA (Policy Management Authority) from 2008 which is building interoperable global trust federation (IGTF) supporting distributed research infrastructure together with PMAs in Europe (EUGridPMA) and America (TAGPMA).

Dr. Shigeki Goto is a professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Waseda University, Japan. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Tokyo. He also earned a Ph.D in Information Engineering from the University of Tokyo. Prior to becoming a professor at Waseda University, he has worked for NTT for many years.
He is a member of ACM and IEEE, and a trustee of Internet Society from 1994 to 1997. He is a fellow of IPSJ (Information Processing Society Japan) and a trustee of Japan Society for Software Science and Technology from 1993 to 1994.

Dr. Chalermpol Charnsripinyo is currently a senior research specialist and the Head of Internet Innovation Laboratory at National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) under National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Thailand. Beside his main job at NECTEC, he has been invited as an adjunct lecturer in universities. He has also served on various committees and working groups related to network infrastructure in Thailand.

Jianping Wu has been Professor of Computer Science, Tsinghua University from 1993. He is also a director of Network Research Center of Tsinghua University. From 1994, he has been in charge of China Education and Research Network (CERNET) which is the largest academic network in China as a director of both Network Center and Technical Board.

George McLaughlin, FRSC, AM is a Graduate of the Royal Institute of Chemistry, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and has been inducted as a Member of the Order of Australia (2009). He worked in the UK chemical, pharmaceutical and engineering industries, prior to undertaking research at the University of Sussex and the Australian National University (ANU), where his research publications have been cited more than 1000 times.

Mr. Ranjan Kumar received his BSc (Hons) Physics and M.Sc.(Physics) degree from University of Delhi. He holds M.Tech (Computer Science) degree from Institution of Electronics & Telecommunications Engineers (IETE), New Delhi. He has been working for ERNET India (Education & Research Network of India) since the year 2000. At present, he is holding the position of Joint Director in ERNET India. He is also the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of ERNET India.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suhaimi Napis received his BSc (Biology) and MSc (Veterinary Immunobiology) from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, USA. He holds a Doctorate degree from the University of Durham, UK in the field of Plant Molecular Biology. He relies heavily on many bioinformatics tools to facilitate his research and managed to bring the first ever bioinformatics computing facility of Australian National Genomic Information Services (ANGIS) to Malaysia and was instrumental in the initiation of the formation of Malaysian Bioinformatics Network and also Asia Pacific Bioinformatic Network (APBioNet).

Dr. Jilong Wang is a full time professor at the Institute of Network Science and Cyberspace at Tsinghua University. He is also the head of Internet Architecture Lab at Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology.
He served as NOC director of several large scale Internet infrastructures, including CERNET2 (the 2nd generation of China Education and Research Network) and TEIN (Trans-Eurasia Information Network) between 2004 and 2016. He is now the APAN-CN chair and an [email protected] Governor. He is also the director of CITIC networks which is a major telecom enterprise in China.

Gerrit Bahlman has just retired from the position of Director of Information Technology at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in Hong Kong. He took up his position in August 2009 after serving as the Chief Information Officer at Massey University in New Zealand. He has been involved in the strategic planning, development, management and design of teaching and learning, research, communications and administrative support systems and structures in universities since 1986.
